Broadcasters ready for 'huge' 2022 season

Foxtel and the Seven Network are readying to broadcast what promises to be a "huge" 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.

Supercars will return to screens this weekend at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

The event will be headlined by dual 300km races, the first of which will be held under lights on Saturday.

The 2022 season will be the second with Foxtel and Seven as broadcasters.

Foxtel's eighth season will commence on Tuesday with the brand new one-off special, Supercars Preview – NEW in 2022.

The new show will premiere on Tuesday night at 7:00pm AEDT on Fox Sports 506.

Every session will be shown on Foxtel live and ad-break free in 2022. Kayo will stream all the action.

Jess Yates will again host the action on Fox Sports alongside expert commentators Mark Skaife and Neil Crompton.

Shane van Gisbergen, Anton De Pasquale, Will Brown and Bathurst winners Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth will all feature in Tuesday’s show.

"It’s great to be back for another huge season of Supercars in 2022 kicking off at Sydney Motorsport Park," Yates said.

"I’m excited to be a part of this brand new show alongside Mark Skaife and Neil Crompton to discuss and analyse all of the action to come this season, with the drivers providing their views and unequivocal insight from behind the wheel."

The Seven Network's second season will feature live and free coverage on Seven, 7mate and 7plus.

The free-to-air broadcaster will provide five hours of live coverage on Saturday and Sunday of the Sydney event.

PiP (picture-in-picture) will return in 2022 as part of Seven's coverage.

Veteran sports broadcaster Mark Beretta and Bathurst podium finisher Jack Perkins will headline Seven's broadcast.

Every race will be available live, free and in HD on 7plus.
