Jordan Boys is keen to make his second wildcard appearance count in a bid to impress teams.

Boys will roll out at this weekend’s OTR SuperSprint in an Image Racing Commodore.

The Albury product made his solo debut at Winton in May, and battled to make inroads.

Boys has little experience at The Bend, having turned laps at the West Circuit in the 2020 Additional Driver session.

He recently joined Erebus for a test day at the South Australian venue.

Given his topsy-turvy Winton showing, Boys is determined to make this weekend count as he aims to progress his career.

"Obviously you want to have a clean weekend, but I want to make my mark,” Boys told Supercars.com.

"My goal for the weekend is to try and get a top 15 finish.

"I want to have a consistent weekend and put everything together.

"Winton was disappointing results-wise, but we had some good spots. I’d give that weekend a six out of 10.

"I came here a few weeks ago and did some running, and I felt really good at this track.”

Boys will race with Macauley Jones at October’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

The 24-year-old, who isn’t racing in Super2 this year, will cut laps in the #96 Holden at Sandown next month.

Boys will have a trio of 24-lap races at The Bend to prove himself before he undertakes co-driving duties.

He recently scored a top three finish at the S5000 round in Darwin.

Given the solid test day at The Bend, Boys believes he is well-placed to make a greater impression than Winton.

"It’s a hard track to get used to,” he said of The Bend.

"Elsewhere, after you’ve done your first couple of runs, that’s your pace.

"Here, you’re finding pace all the time. It’s so long, so wide, it’s hard to find your spot.

"I feel like we’re in a really good spot, it’s an open book with them.

"We got all their info from the test, we’re all pretty encouraged with how it went.”
