Six-time TCM champion Bowe, the 1995 Australian Touring Car Champion and two-time Bathurst winner, will extend a unique record.

The famous Tasmanian has competed in every Adelaide event since it the circuit first hosted Formula 1 in 1985.

He raced V8s in Adelaide in exhibition and championship races, with his last Supercar starts coming in 2007.

Bowe recorded a best finish of fourth in 17 championship Supercar starts in Adelaide between 1999 and 2007.

Since shifting to TCM, Bowe has won five rounds and 10 races in Adelaide.

Bowe also holds the TCM lap record at the Adelaide Parklands circuit, a 1:27.8263s.

"The Adelaide 500 has always been one of the best events on the calendar and it’s exciting to be part of its return this year,” Bowe said.

"It’s a great, iconic circuit and an incredible event where we all love to show off the fantastic racing that Touring Car Masters produces.

"I’ve raced there every year since the first Grand Prix in 1985 and I don’t think there’s many people who can say that!

"I’ve been fortunate enough to race there in a wide variety of cars, but my little Torana is one of the most enjoyable to drive.

"I’m certain Touring Car Masters will produce its usual exciting racing and a great show for the spectators coming to the circuit and those watching at home.

"It’s great news for us as competitors and for the fans who follow TCM religiously.

"It’s great for the championship to conclude at such an iconic, high-profile event like the Adelaide 500."

Miedecke sits third overall, 158 points adrift of series leader Hansford.

Johnson will head to Adelaide with momentum; the three-time TCM champion won all four races at Mount Panorama last weekend.

It was the first time a single driver has won the trophy race and three championship races since the series introduced the four-race format in 2018.

TCM last raced in Adelaide at the 2020 event; that round won by Adam Bressington, with Hansford and Johnson rounding out the podium.

Supercars will be on track on all four days of the event.

The Dunlop Series, Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS, Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series and S5000 Tasman Series will also compete.

The 2022 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will also conclude at the VALO Adelaide 500.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 506) and streamed on Kayo.
