Formula 1 star Valtteri Bottas could drive a Supercar during a cameo at this month's Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

Bottas will partake in the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, at Victoria Park, on Sunday March 26.

It comes a week ahead of the third round of the 2023 F1 season in Melbourne.

Adelaide famously hosted the F1 season finale between 1985 and 1995 before moving to Albert Park in 1996.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival features a series of demonstration runs, with a number of different categories tackling the shortened version of the track.

The likes of F1 cars, Heritage Touring Cars, Supercars and GT cars will all take part.

The F1 cars confirmed include a 1985 Scuderia Ferrari 156/85, 1989 Brabham BT58 Judd, 1992 Brabham BT60B Judd and a 1988 Arrows A10B Megatron.

10-time Grand Prix winner Bottas won’t be the only F1 name to take part — former F1 driver Stefan Johansson will also attend the event.

Bottas, who now races for Alfa Romeo, will drive an ex-European Touring Car Championship-winning Group A Alfa Romeo GTV.

In an event video, Bottas also hinted he may steer a V8-powered Supercar during the event.

It comes on the same day the 2022 VALO Adelaide 500 was revealed to have injected nearly $52 million into the state economy.

"I'll be getting behind the wheel of some kind of Alfa Romeo, obviously, and perhaps a V8 Supercars," Bottas said.

"I've got all my gear packed and I'm heading to Adelaide. I look forward to seeing you there.”

It comes just weeks after Aussie F1 star Daniel Ricciardo, who is now Red Bull’s third driver, drove a Ford Mustang Supercar.

Ricciardo sampled the prototype Ford at the company’s proving ground in Michigan.

Last year, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso drove Thomas Randle’s Castrol-backed Tickford Mustang at Albert Park.

On the same day, Red Bull star Sergio Perez sampled a Triple Eight Commodore Supercar.

The 2023 F1 season will commence in Bahrain this weekend, before F1 and Supercars share the Albert Park circuit on March 31-April 3.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence at the Thrifty Newcastle 500 on March 10-12.

Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
