Young charger Tim Blanchard has unveiled his new look #3 Commodore ahead of the Clipsal 500 this weekend, announcing CoolDrive as naming rights sponsor.

Blanchard makes his return to the sport's premier division after a debut V8 Supercars season with Dick Johnson Racing in 2013.

His 'Team CoolDrive' Holden made its debut at the sydney.com SuperTest at Sydney Motor Sport Park earlier this month, before unveiling its season livery.

Blanchard steps aboard the LDM Commodore for the 2015 season after a stellar performance for the team co-driving with Russell Ingall in last year's Endurance Cup.

"Having worked with LDM last year and seeing the enormous change they've undertaken since then in terms of staffing and resources, I am very excited about the prospects for this year," Blanchard said.

"It's a team determined to improve its performance, I think I am joining them at the right time and I am looking forward to taking the CoolDrive brand to the sharp end of the field."

Confirmation of the partnership between CoolDrive and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport underlines the importance of motorsport to CoolDrive's company culture.

"Motorsport has been an intrinsinc part of the CoolDrive business since it's inception," said CoolDrive Marketing and Communications Manager John Phair.

"It's the perfect platform to promote our brand and to demonstrate the performance and quality of our products, and it speaks directly to our customers ... the majority of whom are interested in the sport in one form or another," Phair said.

"That's why it's important to have an involvement at the professional end of the sport, through V8 Supercars, but equally also in Historic Racing, hillclimbs, rallying and the many other forms of the sport."

The team will hit the track for the first time on Friday at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

The reveal of Nick Percat's livery is still to come.
