Macauley Jones will carry a striking new silver scheme, complete with new backing, at this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

Brad Jones Racing has welcomed Pertamina Lubricants Fastron Synthetic as naming rights sponsor for the #96 Commodore.

Jones will tackle dual 250km races on the Surfers streets in what will be Supercars’ first Gold Coast round since 2019.

PT Pertamina Lubricants is distributed in Australia by Business Automotive Solutions Pty Ltd (BAS).

The company has been on board with Jones for the balance of the 2022 season.

Pertamina Lubricants produces, distributes, markets and sells the likes of lubricants, grease and specialty oils.

The brand is also prominent in the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Australia 86 Series, which supports Supercars events.

The silver scheme casts similarities to the Petronas wildcard livery Tim Blanchard raced in Perth, also in 2019.

The #96 Commodore will also carry backing from Automotive Superstore, tools.com, Kubota, TRG Transport, DrillPro and Mastercam.

Jones said: "It’s been great to bring Pertamina on board this season.

“[It’s] an honour to represent such a high-quality product within the industry while helping to introduce the brand to the Australian market.

"All the team at BAS Auto and Pertamina have been as excited to learn about Supercars as we have been to learn about their products.

"The livery for the Gold Coast takes their visibility to our fans and the industry to the next level.”

BAS Auto Operations Managing Director Andry Wijaya added: “We’re excited to be joining Macauley and BJR as naming rights sponsor for the Gold Coast event.

“Our business has been a newcomer to Supercars this year and we have been so impressed with the series and our involvement with BJR.

“[We] hope to continue with a great weekend here on the Gold Coast."

Jones is 19th in the points standings heading to Surfers Paradise.
