Brad Jones Racing has revealed its first Gen3 Camaro, with Pizza Hut to back Macauley Jones’ #96 car for the full 2023 season.

Jones’ #96 entry will run under the new Pizza Hut Racing banner, with the company signing a three-year partnership with BJR.

Pizza Hut backed Jones’ car at last year’s NTI Townsville 500, but the colours will be there to stay for all 12 rounds in 2023.

Jones’ car will carry the iconic red and white of Pizza Hut, with the second-generation driver racing one of four BJR cars this season.

The new car was captured at Hume Weir in Albury, where BJR is proudly headquartered.

It comes after BJR confirmed R&J Batteries and Middy’s Electrical will continue to back the Andre Heimgartner and Bryce Fullwood cars respectively.

The 2023 season is the 24th for BJR, which debuted in 2000.

The #96 will roll out for the first time at Winton Motor Raceway for testing next week.

The new-look car will then test alongside the other 24 entries at the all-in Sydney test on Wednesday February 22.

“It’s pretty awesome being able to have Pizza Hut on the Camaro for the year,” Macauley Jones said.

"It’s an exciting time in Supercars — with Gen3, with the Camaros and the whole build process. It’s going to be a very big year and it’s cool to have Pizza Hut beside us for it.

“The livery looks impressive on the Camaro, just makes it look mean and ready to deliver.

“I can’t wait to get behind the wheel at the first test and really get a taste of my own Camaro — learn the intricacies and try and really settle into the Gen3 car.”

Team owner Brad Jones added: "Expanding our partnership with Pizza Hut into Gen3 for the full season is tremendously exciting.

"Over the last few years they’ve produced some really engaging activities and competitions for fans and we’re looking forward to working with them through 2023.

"Pizza Hut is a globally renowned organisation and we’re proud to be able to carry their branding on Macauley’s car. Pizza Hut is expanding rapidly in Australia and it’s exciting to join them on that journey.

"Fans can now cheer on our Pizza Hut Camaro at every round of the championship while eating a Pizza Hut pizza either at home or at some of the signature events where a Pizza Hut store is at the venue. How good is that?

"The sponsorship is more than just a logo on the car and we’re excited that they’re part of the BJR family.

"Our team has been working around the clock to get our Gen3 cars prepared and it means a lot to all of us to be able to share the Pizza Hut car with everyone."

Pizza Hut Australia CEO Phil Reed was excited to up the company’s backing of BJR.

We’ve been delighted with the first twelve months of our partnership with Supercars and want to continue this journey with the sport over the next few years,” he said.

“No one can underestimate the authenticity and originality of this sport, the history it celebrates, and the pride and passion it generates in real fans right around the country. Supercars and Pizza Hut are a perfect Australian brand fit.

"As Australia’s fastest-growing quick-service restaurant brand, we’re very excited to be part of the sport.

“We’ve recently celebrated 47 consecutive months of positive same-store sales growth, and our presence across Supercars has played a significant role in that.

“We are now delighted to enhance our relationship with the sport by launching the Pizza Hut Supercars Racing Team in Partnership with Brad Jones Racing.

"We want to support real fans and there is no one more authentic than Brad Jones. Both Pizza Hut and Brad Jones love to win. We want to be champions. Together, we will both get back to Number 1.”

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle on March 10-12.

Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
