Supercars has partnered with Australia’s largest and most comprehensive battery retail franchise, Battery World, which will see the trusted brand become the Official Battery Retailer of the Repco Supercars Championship.

Battery World began operations in North Queensland in 1997, and today has over 100 stores nationwide providing a wide range of battery products and services to consumers Australia-wide.

As local battery specialists who support Australian-made products, Battery World is proud to be powering iconic Aussie sporting events, including the Repco Supercars Championship.

"As a long-term supporter of Australian motorsport, we are extremely excited to now be the Official Battery Retailer of the Repco Supercars Championship,” said Johnny Kennedy, Battery World General Manager.

"With over 25 years of experience servicing customers from all across the country, we see this partnership as a tremendous opportunity to connect our passionate Battery World community Australia-wide with a sport that thrives upon a loyal long-standing fanbase in Supercars.

"Our customers and franchisees share our love for all things cars and automotive, so it is only fitting that we are now a fixture of Australia’s preeminent motorsport calendar that can be enjoyed by both those who attend in person and also everyone taking in the action from home.”

Following Battery World’s successful introduction to the championship at the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000, this expanded, multi-year agreement will see Battery World present at Supercars events through at least 2025.

"We are proud to welcome Battery World as the Official Battery Retailer of the Repco Supercars Championship through 2025," said Jamie Black, Supercars GM – Commercial.

"Battery World and its franchisees are fantastic supporters of Australian products, and have long been passionate supporters of motor racing in this country, so we are thrilled to welcome them in an expanded capacity to support our championship at the pinnacle of Australian motorsport.

"With a very exciting year on the horizon, we look forward to sharing a very successful partnership with the team at Battery World in the years to come."

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship begins March 10-12 at the Thrifty Newcastle 500, where the 25-car Supercars field kicks off its 12-event, 28-race campaign with races in all six states and the Northern Territory.
