Supercars will run on all four days of the season-ending VALO Adelaide 500.

The Repco Supercars Championship will return to the streets of Adelaide on December 1-4.

Adelaide previously opened seasons between 1999 and 2020.

This year’s event will, like previous Adelaide 500s, run over four days.

Supercars will be on track on all four days, with the championship releasing weekend format and tyres.

The event will be run solely on the Dunlop Hard tyre compound.

It will be one of just three events, after Pukekohe and Bathurst, to be run exclusively on the Hard tyre.

Thursday will feature a 30-minute practice session.

Cars will return on Friday for Practice 2, which is also 30 minutes, and ARMOR ALL Qualifying.

Qualifying will set the order for Saturday’s ARMOR ALL Top Ten Shootout.

The Shootout will set the grid for the first 250km race of the weekend, Race 33 of the 2022 season.

Drivers will have a practice session prior to Saturday’s Shootout.

Drivers will complete qualifying, a Shootout and another 78-lap race on the Sunday.

Each entry will have eight pre-marked Hard tyres, which they will hand back after practice.

There are 32 even-marked tyres, or eight sets, from qualifying onwards.

Each 78-lap will feature two compulsory pit stops with a 140L fuel drop.

The 2022 season will continue at next weekend’s ITM Auckland SuperSprint.

Tickets for all events are available on Supercars.com or Ticketek.
