The countdown to the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship is officially underway, with the season launched in Bathurst.

All 24 drivers assembled for the launch on the grid at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit, which will host the season-opener this weekend.

The 2021 season marks the 60th anniversary of the Australian Touring Car Championship.

This year also marks the first season of the new naming rights deal with Repco, which will back this weekend's season-opener and the iconic Bathurst 1000.

After an off-season full of change, the grid in its final iteration was present on Wednesday, two days out from first practice for the Repco Mt Panorama 500.

The new season sees the Seven Network return to broadcast the series for the first time since 2014.

Foxtel returns for a seventh season, with Kayo to the stream the 2021 championship.

Foxtel will broadcast every practice, qualifying and race of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, live.

The launch, hosted by Hall of Fame inductee and esteemed commentator Neil Crompton, began with a video message from AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson.

The iconic rock band has joined with Supercars to provide the theme song, 'Realize', for the 2021 season.

Followed by a video message from Supercars CEO Sean Seamer, Fox Sports host Jess Yates and the Seven Network's Mark Beretta joined Crompton on stage, interviewing Jamie Whincup and Cameron Waters respectively.

Cars will hit the track on Friday for opening practice of the Repco Mt Panorama 500. Tickets are on sale now.

This weekend’s event will be broadcast live on Foxtel and the Seven Network, and will be streamed on Kayo. Check out the full TV schedule here.
