20 years of Darwin: Thrilling finishes

Two of Hidden Valley’s tightest finishes occurred in consecutive years, both involving Prodrive star Mark Winterbottom.

The Ford driver came out second best in a last lap scrap with Craig Lowndes in 2013 – losing by the closest margin in the category's history at the circuit, just 0.117s.

Winterbottom turned the tables a year later when he held out a charging Shane van Gisbergen by 0.53s, surviving minor nose-to-tail contact at the very last corner.

It was one of four wins for Winterbottom at Hidden Valley, while Jason Bright, Steven Richards, Chaz Mostert and David Reynolds have also won races for Prodrive at the venue.

Enjoy the 2013 and 2014 thrilling finishes above as part of our video series celebrating 20 years of Supercars racing in the Northern Territory.
