The Repco Supercars Championship returned to the world stage at Albert Park.

The Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 was held on the undercard of the Australian Grand Prix.

Fittingly, the two drivers who have done all the winning so far in 2022 continued on their merry ways in Melbourne.

Shane van Gisbergen and Chaz Mostert shared the four wins, with the former taking home overall honours.

The title fight now moves to Perth, which like Albert Park, also last hosted Supercars in 2019. Buy your tickets now.

Supercars.com lists 10 key statistics that shaped the third round of the 2022 season.

2) Only van Gisbergen (six) and Mostert (three) have won races in 2022. The 1999 season (Craig Lowndes and Mark Skaife) was the last to feature two winners in the first nine races.

9) Van Gisbergen is now the most successful Supercars driver at Albert Park with nine wins. He overtook Russell Ingall (eight).

3) Van Gisbergen became the third driver, after Jamie Whincup and Mostert, to win the Larry Perkins Perpetual Trophy. The trophy is awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points across the Grand Prix weekend.

0.0071) The margin between Will Davison and Anton De Pasquale in Race 9 qualifying. It is now the closest ever pole-winning margin at Albert Park.

1) Just once in nine attempts has a pole-sitter gone on to win a race in 2022 (van Gisbergen, Race 4 in Tasmania). No driver converted pole to victory at Albert Park.

35) Garry Jacobson gained a whopping 35 positions in the first three races. He recorded three top 10s and was eighth overall for the round.

6) Macauley Jones finished sixth in the opener, marking his best solo result in Supercars.

106) Grove Racing had both cars finish on the podium in Saturday's first race. David Reynolds finished second, with Lee Holdsworth stealing third after a late collision between James Courtney and Mostert. The team last had both cars on a podium at The Bend in 2018 thanks to Rick Kelly and Michael Caruso, a gap of 106 races.

65) The margin between Red Bull Ampol Racing and Shell V-Power Racing Team in the teams' standings is just 65 points. This time last year, it was 506 points.

60) Van Gisbergen became just the fourth driver in ATCC/Supercars history to win 60 or more races. He has a long way to go to catch Whincup (124), Craig Lowndes (110) and Mark Skaife (90).
