Triple Eight Race Engineering has uncovered the livery it will campaign at the upcoming LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

Triple Eight will field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Supercars duo Shane van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney, along with Prince Jefri Ibrahim.

The #888 Mercedes features major backing from MANN-FILTER, complete with a striking yellow and green livery.

The car’s scheme will also carry a ‘Mamba’ snake-like pattern.

Red Bull Ampol Racing teammates van Gisbergen and Feeney are the entry’s Pro drivers; Ibrahim is the Am driver.

Ibrahim is Triple Eight’s GT World Challenge Australia and Asia driver.

This year’s 12 Hour will be the first since 2020, with the event returning after a two-year hiatus.

Triple Eight scored a podium in the 2020 race with van Gisbergen behind the wheel.

MANN-FILTER backed Triple Eight’s 2020 12 Hour campaign, with Jamie Whincup also helping the car to the podium.

Van Gisbergen, who leads the 2022 Supercars standings, won the 12 Hour with Tekno Autosports in 2016.

"The car looks great and will look even better on track at Mount Panorama,” van Gisbergen said.

"I’m so excited for this event to return next month.

"We had the team at MANN-FILTER on our car at the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020, so it’s awesome that they’ve continued their major partnership of the team for the race’s return in 2022.

"Any laps around Mount Panorama are cool, especially in a GT car. We obviously haven’t done this race for a few years, so it’ll be great to get back there.”

Feeney will make his second appearance at the 12 Hour, with Ibrahim to make his debut.

Van Gisbergen is by far and away the most experienced of the trio, but was eager to lead the challenge.

"This race is a great opportunity for Iman [Prince Jefri Ibrahim] as well,” van Gisbergen said.

“It’s a big step up for him, but I think he’s ready for it. It’s going to be exciting to see how he goes in an endurance race.

"We obviously have three different drivers and different sizes, so we’ll all have to get the car to suit each other.

"In practice, we’ll make sure we’re all getting a good amount of seat time, but the car has to be both fast and drivable for each driver.”

Van Gisbergen and Feeney will race in Perth this weekend, with Winton to follow the 12 Hour.

Tickets for the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour are on sale now.

More driver line-ups will be announced in the coming weeks.
