Gallery: Red Bull F1 car tackles Mount Panorama

After a 12-year wait, a contemporary Formula 1 car has lapped Mount Panorama once again.

Liam Lawson lapped the championship-winning Red Bull RB7 in Bathurst on Saturday.

Lawson, 20, had the Mountain all to himself in a demonstration he claimed the "coolest" thing in his life.

The New Zealander turned four laps of the 6.213 circuit, and also burned some rubber at Hell Corner.

The RB7 will return to the track following Saturday afternoon's Pirelli Top 10 Shootout.
