A 28-strong entry list has been confirmed for the 2023 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

The 2023 event will be the 12th edition of the race as an international GT3 enduro.

The February 3-5 event is one of the most anticipated in Bathurst 12 Hour history.

Australia's International Endurance Race will be just that after three years of COVID-19 hurdles.

The race will again double as the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli.

Entries from Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Hong Kong, Belgium and the United States feature on the list of GT3 and invited vehicles.

The full entry list, including drivers, will be released closer to the event.

The 22-strong GT3 entry includes manufacturer representation from Mercedes-AMG, Audi, BMW, Porsche and Lamborghini.

The GT3 field is spread across Pro, Bausele Pro-Am and Silver categories.

Nine Mercedes-AMG GT3s are entered, which is the most of any single GT3 model in the 12 Hour's history.

BMW’s new M4 GT3 will make its Bathurst debut, complete with blockbuster Team WRT driver line-up.

The BMW line-up includes MotoGP legend-turned car racer Valentino Rossi, and reigning DTM champion Sheldon van der Linde.

The three podium-finishers from 2022 — SunEnergy1 Racing, Craft-Bamboo Racing and Triple Eight Race Engineering — feature in an eight-strong GT3 Pro contingent.

Triple Eight will enter two cars, with Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen to be joined by teammate Broc Feeney.

Audi will also field an all-Pro entry in its bid for a record fourth Bathurst 12 Hour victory.

Hong Kong-German entry Manthey EMA will also enter a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The Bausele Pro-Am category includes another eight cars, including Grove Racing, which has partnered with Earl Bamber Motorsport Giga Racing.

Triple Eight will also field a Pro-Am entry, while a Craig Lowndes-led Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes will again raise awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Volante Rosso Motorsport will enter two cars — one in Pro-Am, and another in the Silver class. Audi R8s, Mercedes AMG GT3s and a second EBM Giga Racing Porsche 911 GT3R complete the Pro-Am battle.

The Silver class has received six entries, including the lone Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in the race.

The six-strong Invitational class also includes the MARC Cars Australia cars, the KTM X-Bow GT2 and the Our Kloud/Up To 11 MotorSport Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car.

A popular addition to the field will be the Sin R1 entered by the Daytona Sports Cars team.

The Daytona squad previously contested the race on several occasions with a Daytona Coupe and a Dodge Viper.

Cars will be on track on all three days of the February 3-5 event, the first 12 Hour to be held on its traditional February date since 2020.
