Supercars provides accessible facilities, including wheelchair friendly viewing points and amenities, at all events.
The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 will have dedicated facilities and services to ensure all attendees can make the most of the event.

There are a limited number of accessible car parks allocated within existing permanent parking structures in Newcastle East.
Car – The accessible drop of zone is located on Wolfe St between Hunter St and Scott St.
Bus – The bus drop of zone will be located at Market Street Lawn near Harry de Wheels.
Train – The closest train station will be the Newcastle interchange and will connect with a bus service and tram service to the event.
Tram – The closest tram stop to the event will be Queens Wharf.

There are dedicated viewing areas which include shaded unreserved wheelchair seating located adjacent to the track. These areas are attended by volunteers throughout the event and allow access to those patrons with a disability plus one companion.
These accessible viewing areas are located:
- Along Wharf Road on Pit Straight (drivers right).
- On the main oval at turn 12
ACCESSIBLE TRACK ACCESS
Gate 1 provides accessible entry to the track and the accessible viewing areas.
PASSENGER HOIST LIFTS
Passenger hoist lifts connect to each end of the over-track pedestrian bridge at Gate 1 on Wharf Road and facilitate entry to the infield.
LIFT ACCESS TO PIT BUILDING
For any corporate clients who have tickets in the Pit Building, there is a lift on the ground floor half-way along the building.
Accessible toilet amenities are located:
- Inside Gate 1 along the path
- Behind Accessible Viewing areas along Wharf Road
- Main Oval (behind accessible viewing area s13)
- Eastern end of Pit Building – to Service Pit Building corporate guests only
- Located behind S7 near Nobbys Beach Surf Life Saving Club
- Located in permanent toilet block at the end of the tram shed, next to the pond
- Located at Pacific Park
Companion Cards are accepted at this event for general admission tickets and access to the accessible platforms. If a Companion Card ticket is required, then the Companion Card must be presented at the time of booking and also carried with the person when attending the event. TUNNEL UNDER TRACK
There is a tunnel under the track which provides access from the inside of the track to the Newcastle Surf Life Saving Club (Gate 4).
There are dedicated times within the race program where racing will cease and patrons with disabilities will be able to cross the circuit to access or exit the infield. The track crossings are located:
- Under the bridge on Hunter Street
- At the pit entry end of the pit building, at the support category access point
- Opposite Nobbys Beach Surf Life Saving Club
Track crossing times will be displayed at the crossing locations.
Please note that scheduled track crossing times may vary due to unforeseen on-track activity.
