Gold Coast: Transport and Traffic

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 returns to the streets of Main Beach and Surfers Paradise this October. As part of the event, temporary changes to traffic, public transport, and access will be in place across the precinct PLEASE FIND THE FULL COMMUNITY BROCHURE HERE.

Road Closures

To accommodate the event, a number of road closures and traffic changes will be implemented from late September.

These closures will be staged and clearly signed, with detour routes in place to minimise disruption where possible.

Public Transport

Public transport services may also be affected, with changes to bus routes and stop locations, as well as tram access in certain areas.

Resident Vehicle Access Pass Distribution

Main Beach & Paradise Waters Resident Parking Passes

As part of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, on-street parking restrictions will apply across Main Beach and Paradise Waters during event weekend operations.

To help ensure local parking remains available for residents and businesses, Supercars distributes complimentary Resident Vehicle Access Passes to eligible properties within the affected precinct.

Distribution commenced on Monday 12 October and will be completed by Friday 16 October.

If you have not received a pass, require an additional pass, or have questions regarding eligibility, please visit the Community Relations Team at the Accreditation Centre located in Helen Park during event week, or contact the team at [email protected].

*Please note that all vehicles must still comply with event traffic arrangements, road closures and local traffic restrictions within the event precinct.
