Renee Gracie returns to the Dunlop Super2 Series grid for a third season, this time with Image Racing.

Gracie starts the year fresh off her second attempt at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 as a wild card entry with Simona De Silvestro.

The pair impressed in 2016, finishing 14th in a Nissan Altima after a difficult debut the year before in a Prodrive Falcon as the Harvey Norman Supergirls.

A former karting star, Gracie moved to the tin-top racing scene in 2013, contesting two seasons in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia – the most recent having yielded five top 10 race results and a 100 per cent race finishing record matched only by five-time series champion Craig Baird.

After becoming the first female to compete in the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup, Gracie moved to Super2 in 2015, becoming the first full-time female competitor in the category in 14 years.

Her Bathurst entry with De Silvestro in 2015 was the first all-female combination to contest the Great Race since 1998.

Despite being sent into the wall at Forrest’s Elbow in the first stint of the race after finding oil on the track, Gracie and De Silvestro managed to salvage 21st position.
