Another young Kiwi will run the famous #97 in Supercar machinery in 2023.
Matthew McCutcheon is a protege of Shane van Gisbergen, and debuts in Super3 with Eggleston Motorsport this year.
The teenager was a champion in dirt speedway at just 15 years of age, but switched to circuit racing as he aimed for Supercars.
McCutcheon finished second overall in the 2020/21 Formula Ford season in New Zealand, with both Shane and Robert van Gisbergen playing a key role.
He earned the Tony Quinn Scholarship for 2022 and graduated to Toyota 86, and also sampled Erebus and Eggleston Commodores last year.
