Sydney Motorsport Park (formerly Eastern Creek International Raceway) is located 40 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD), adjacent to the Western Sydney International Dragway. It was built and is owned by the New South Wales Government and is operated by the Australian Racing Drivers Club. The first championship event was hosted at the venue in 1992. Night racing was first run in 1996, before returning in 2018. Permanent light towers have since been installed, with night racing now a regular fixture at the venue.
