Australia's playground of sun and sea adds Supercars to the mix annually, with the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 one of the biggest parties on the calendar. First appearing as a flyaway IndyCar round in 1991, when the American open wheelers disappeared after 2008, Supercars stepped up to the plate. Having gone through several format changes and a major track change in 2010, the Gold Coast now serves as the opening round of the Repco Supercars Finals Series.
