Originally constructed in 1938 as a scenic tourist drive, Mount Panorama has become one of the most revered race circuits in the world. To win at Bathurst is to put your name alongside the greatest who have ever got behind the wheel of a racing car. Since 1963, the eyes of Australia and the motorsport world turn to Bathurst for 161 laps every October, in one of the great sporting traditions in the country. Mount Panorama is also host to the Bathurst 12 Hour GT classic that kickstarts the Australian motorsport season.
