Formula 1 arrived in Melbourne in 1996 at Albert Park, on a reconfigured circuit that was originally used for racing in the 1950s. Supercars were a regular fixture on the support bill, before championship points were first put on the line in 2018. The track underwent a major revamp ahead of 2023, with average speeds raising significantly as a result. Hosting the shortest races of the year on one of the fastest circuits on the tour, Supercars always turns on an action-packed show on the world stage.
