The role of the PR and Communications Executive is to assist the Head of Communications & PR to effectively manage the communications and PR function of Supercars in order to gain more coverage and profile for the sport, company, sponsors, teams and drivers.
Media & Public Relations 85%
Provide a high level of communications support & work as part of a dynamic team while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
Work closely with the Head of Communications & PR and Communications team members to prioritise tasks on a daily basis
Compile promotional schedule and manage Supercar related public appearances of drivers
Liaise with teams from both series to further promote the drivers and teams from both series
Assist in scheduling driver interviews for radio, TV, press and Supercars Media
Organise, coordinate and distribute pre-season and endurance driver photographs
Promote the Dunlop Super2 Series at events, through the media, website, in the telecast
Assist with media initiatives in conjunction with the Media Manager and appointed PR companies
Organise and manage driver corporate appearances in the Supercar Paddock Club
Assist the Marketing and Events team with major Supercars events such as Season launch, events launches, Gala Dinner and Media Conferences
Assist with image requests for media, teams, sponsors and drivers
Where required at the direction of the Head of Communications & PR prepare and issue approved media releases and associated materials to key media, stakeholders and teams for both series
Assist the digital team with the preparation and delivery of content for supercars.com
Maintain and ensure current materials within media database information containing driver, team and race images, logos, track maps and general information required for media
Manage travel and accommodation for media and comms staff with the travel agent
Coordinate the annual preparation and delivery of the Series Media Guide
Coordinate and distribute all Series media and round only accreditation applications for both series
Manage and maintain Media, PR personnel and driver details for the email distribution list
Liaise with event promoters to plan, coordinate and implement event based promotional activities
Attend events as required
Support the digital team with editorial input for Eseries, video pieces, presentation for digital content
Assist the Head of Communications to work with external media companies to increase driver profiles through long-form opportunities (podcasts outside motorsport, magazines, lifestyle television programs)
Where required support Supercars Media with hosting duties
Work with Digital Team to continue coverage of Dunlop Super2 and Super3 Series across website and social media
Miscellaneous / General 15%
Various project work as required and any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the company.

Successful delivery of driver/team-related appearances and schedules
Increased coverage in ‘non-traditional’ motorsport media
Series Media Guide produced in a timely manner
Regular maintenance of all relevant distribution lists
Effective relationships with promoters, drivers, teams, PR personnel, media and sponsors
