BNT V8s Championship

With the new season commencing at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint and the strongest line up of class one cars seen in years, it's shaping up to be an epic start to the season.

Being New Zealand’s only Premier V8 Touring Car Championship, the BNT V8s with the super-fast space-framed class one cars and the earlier model NZV8s all mixed together in the same race, the certainty of close and entertaining racing will be assured.

Whether you’re a Holden, Ford, Toyota or Nissan fan we have got you covered with our multiple V8 brands. With up to 26 cars on the Grid, it will once again be a crowd favourite at this years’ ITM Auckland SuperSprint.

This season will see a true Trans-Tasman challenge with up to 5 Australian drivers entering the Championship to take on the best of our V8 Saloon Car Drivers. The competition and intensity up front will be awesome to watch!

Toyota 86 Championship

The Toyota 86 Championship begins its sixth season in 2018 and it will be the most competitive in the history of the championship with a field full of the best up and coming racers in New Zealand

The Toyota 86 Cars have been locally developed by Toyota Racing from the 86 Sports Coupe and provide nose-to-tail action from lights out to chequered flag. In true Toyota fashion these superbly constructed machines are deceptively fast and highly entertaining.

There’s some fantastic opportunities for both the series winner and the best rookie for this year’s championship, and you will definitely be watching more than one future star on the big stage at Pukekohe this year. It all starts here – don’t miss it.

ENZED Central Muscle Cars

With the ENZED Central Muscle Cars grid growing in size each year, you can once again expect a bumper field of the country’s best American and Australian Muscle Cars. See classic brands like Mustang’s, Camaro’s, Commodore’s, Falcon’s, Corvette’s, Torana’s, Charger’s, Monaro’s, Monza’s and Nova’s with heavily modified engines vying for maximum performance.

With an expected 35 car field and a number of new cars joining the category for this season there sure will be some hair raising racing for all to enjoy. With four Grid/Handicap Races at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint, it's anyone’s guess who will reign supreme for the weekend.

Pirelli Porsche Championship

The 2018 ITM Auckland SuperSprint will see the welcome return of the Pirelli Porsche Championship, their last appearance at a Supercars event over 7 years ago.

The category is made up of a wide variety of Porsches - from the super-fast 991 and 997 GT3 Cup Cars to 924 and 944 Series, there are six groups fighting for class points in every race giving each driver a chance to excel within their speed group.

This will be Round 2 of the MSNZ National Championship with over 20 cars expected from both the North and South Island.

SAS Autoparts MSC Formula 5000

Always a favourite with motorsport fans young and old the SAS Autoparts MSC Formula 5000 Tasman Cup Revival category returns to Pukekohe after an impressive debut on the ITM Auckland SuperSprint support class roster last year.

The sheer ground-shaking presence of these classic stock-block V8-powered, wings-and-slicks single seaters originally raced between 1968 and 1977 is never anything less than spectacular as they thunder down the Pukekohe front straight often two and sometimes even three abreast and through the circuit’s famed Turn 1 sweeper at barely reduced velocity.

New Zealand’s evergreen motor racing veteran, Ken Smith, 77, will again be competing at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint event in his ex Danny Ongais Lola T332, 42 years after winning the first of his three New Zealand Grand Prix titles, in a virtually identical Lola T330/2 Formula 5000 car at the same track.

Joining Smith on the grid will be defending SAS Autoparts MSC Series champ Andy Higgins in a Lola T332, fellow former title holder Brett Willis in his Lola T330, last season’s impressive newcomer Michael Collins (McRae GM1) plus father and son Peter and Aaron Burson in their McRae GM1s, and Mr SAS Autoparts, David Banks, in his Lola T332.

Expected to debut a new McRae of his own, meanwhile, is series’ fast man Clark Proctor, while set to make a welcome return to the sport is former NZ Formula Ford champion Kevin Ingram in the ex Ian Clement Lola T332.

The next generation of Australian racers will carve a name for themselves in the CAMS PAYCE Formula 4 Championship. Racing on the same tracks as their Virgin Australia Supercars Championship heroes, it is the first step on the motor racing pathway after karting.

Despite many of the teenage drivers not holding a road licence, they’re more than capable at racing up to 200km/h. The 1.6 litre turbo, modern carbon fibre chassis and sticky Hankook tyres promote close racing and develops critical race craft skills.

Past Australian Formula 4 graduates have stepped up to higher categories in Australia and abroad.
