Information coming soon.
Central Muscle Cars
Join the Central Muscle Cars in celebrating their 20th Anniversary as a club at the final ITM Auckland SuperSprint to be held at Pukekohe,
A major attraction of this category is the reverse Grid Handicap Race format for Two of the Four races, which always gives the slower cars an opportunity to win a Race. Paired with a standing start format, there is always an opportunity for an exciting show!
Vehicles in this category are either American or Australian and are no younger than 1978, with the exception of a handful of Falcons and Commodores.
The Age of the drivers varies from mid 20’s to mid 70’s and the Central Muscle Car hold the social aspect of the meetings to be just as important as the racing itself.
Toyota 86
Globally acclaimed and the focus of a fast growing passionate fan-base of owners and drivers, Toyota’s 86 coupe has been rewriting sports coupe history since its international launch with a string of Car of the Year and technology awards to its name.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing New Zealand picked up on the potential of the 86, producing a locally specified and professionally prepared race car, the TR 86. Built by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing New Zealand, the cars are designed for racing.
Building on the globally recognised success of its unique Castrol Toyota Racing Series, Toyota devised a closely controlled one-make championship for the new TR 86, offering local race drivers the chance to be part of a close fought and exciting series that competes on New Zealand’s leading race circuits. The Toyota 86 Championship, like the Castrol Toyota Racing Series, plays a role in helping rising race drivers hone their skills.
Formula Ford
Formula Ford in the North Island has been around for many years but only since 2020 did it form its own official identity of North Island Formula Ford Inc and the become an accredited series of Motorsport New Zealand.
Since then the category has gone from strength to strength and another key moment was joining forces with South Island Formula Ford to ensure all owners of Formula Ford vehicles had the same goals and on the same rules.
The category caters for the father and son club racer to the career racer where they have a clear career path in Motorsport to options like F1 or Supercars where a majority of the category have come from.
