Transporter Parade

Get set for the return of the Supercars Transporters Parade and see the massive rigs that carry all the Supercars and equipment drive into Launceston in spectacular style.

The Transporters will depart from Symmons Plains Raceway and head into Launceston via the Midland Highway, down Wellington Street, then along the East Tamar Highway before looping around at the George Town Road Turn off and heading back to where all the Supercars action is set to take place – Symmons Plains Raceway.

Prime viewing is at Perth, North of the Newnhan Link on the banks of the Tamar River and the Tasmania Polytechnic Alanvale Campus, along George Town Road. 

Where to find:

The Transporter Parade loop starts and finishes at Symmons Plains Raceway, travelling through Launceston.

Indicative Parade Times:

3.00pm - Departs Symmons Plains Raceway

3.10pm - Passes through Perth

3.25pm - Arrives in Launceston and travels along East Tamar Hwy

3.55pm - Loops around at the George Street Road turn-off for the return trip

4.15pm - Departs Launceston for the journey back to Symmons Plains Raceway, via Wellington Street on Midland Highway

Off Track Autograph Session

Come along to the Village Cinema in Launceston and meet some of the Supercars drivers before they hit the track.

All the fun will kick off at 5:30pm with giveaways and The Examiner newspaper will have a photo activation set up capturing people holding one of the event trophies!

Will Davison, Todd Hazelwood, Jack Le Brocq and Lee Holdsworth will be meeting fans and signing autographs from 6pm.

The Chilli FM Street Team will be there and make sure you stay on for a special screening of 'Days of Thunder' starting at 7pm.

  • 5:30pm: Giveaways, Chilli Street Team and The Examiner photo activation
  • 6pm: Supercars Drivers Autograph Session
  • 7pm: Days of Thunder screening begins

The autograph session is a free event open to the public and tickets for the 'Days of Thunder' screening can be purchased from the Village Cinema Launceston counter or at  HERE.
