Tickford locks in 2023 enduro pairings

Tickford Racing has confirmed its driver pairings for the upcoming Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000.

Cam Waters will be joined by James Moffat for a third season, with the duo aiming for a third straight Bathurst podium.

The Waters/Moffat pairing first united in 2021, and they finished second in the Great Race. Last year, they recovered to third after Moffat was turned at The Cutting.

Zak Best will share the #5 Snowy River Caravans Mustang with James Courtney.

Tickford has two newcomers in 2023 in Garry Jacobson and Tyler Everingham.

Thomas Randle will be joined by Jacobson in the #55 Castrol Racing Mustang, while Everingham will race with Declan Fraser.

Fraser and Everingham will make their Tickford debuts in the #55 TRADIE Mustang.

“Moff, Zak and Gas Pedal are already familiar with the team and the crew,” Tickford CEO and Team Principal Tim Edwards said.

“And having Tyler join the driver group is giving us a great mix of youth and experience.

"He’s already got a couple of trips to the Mountain under his belt so we’re looking forward to seeing what him and Declan can do."

All four Tickford co-drivers will participate in a ride day at Sydney Motorsport Park on July 31.

Just four seats on the full-time grid are yet to be confirmed: both Penrite Racing combinations, and the respective co-drivers for Tim Slade and Todd Hazelwood.

The Penrite Oil Sandown 500 opens the enduro season on September 15-17, before the Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 5-8.
