The Prodrive racer was beaten by race two victor James Golding off the start in the final race, but had taken P1 at by the end of the first lap, at the final corner.

The result sees the Shepparton driver keep hold of the Series lead after winning the season opening Clipsal 500 last month.

The drama continued for Jack Le Brocq, who was involved in an incident with Bryce Fullwood to be reviewed post-race.
