Marcos Ambrose hits the track for the first time, and there's plenty of activities to keep you occupied at the Sydney NRMA 500.

There are plenty of great places to watch the action - and NRMA members will be able to beat the December weather at the track, with exclusive access to the NRMA member's chill zone.

The naming-rights sponsor of the 2014 Grand Finale will host its members in a multi-level chill out zone fitted with misting fans and plenty of shade while they watch the final race of the season from a semi-trailer sized screen.

Or you can head over to Cathy Freeman Park and lap up the new edition to the Sydney NRMA 500: the Super Top, which will provide a shaded retreat to relax in comfort.

The day stages three V8 Supercars practice sessions, the first kicking off at 9.30am, as well as Dunlop Series action from 10.35am.

Come along to the Paddock on Friday to meet the Dunlop Series drivers and grab an autograph from the stars of the future at their official off-track signing session.

Enjoy the family friendly atmosphere with lots of interactive activities for kids and adults alike at the Family & Sports Zone. Sydney leading sporting teams and community groups will be there, including the Western Sydney Wanderers, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers, GWS Giants, Sydney Thunder and ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

At the Stunts and Jumps Zone, outside of ANZ Stadium, check out the Izuzu D-Max Precision Driving team's performances, which include high speed cross-overs, drifting, formation driving, jumps and even driving the vehicles on two wheels. Team D-MAX's Iron Summit 4WD Ramp will also be there.

The Skate and BMX Demo Programs are a must see today at the Monster Skate Park - the nursery of some of Australia's finest young talent in the extreme sports division.

Australia's #1 Action Sports athlete Matt Mingay, along with his Hot Wheels Team, will be performing some of the wildest stunts you have ever seen on two and four wheels on track today from 9.05am. See the all new Hot Wheels jumping truck for the very first time as it travels at speeds over 100kph and jumping up to 50m in distance, while the Hot Wheels Harley's will fire up the crowd (literally) with the most incredible show of motorcycle skill and sideways entertainment ever seen in Australia.

Australia's original, longest running and most successful freestyle Moto X Team will also take to the track for their epic stunt show, performing tricks including rock solids, jack hammers, nac nacs, back flips and more off specially designed ramps positioned 25m apart. See world-renowned Freestyle Moto X stars thrill the crowds with their aerial antics and meet them after each show to grab a poster and autograph at their display down in Merchandise Alley.

JCB's sporty GT backhoe loader is scheduled to make an appearance at the Sydney NRMA 500 today, where it will aim to beat its own world record and maintain its status as the world's fastest earthmover.

Ensure you're trackside for the big finale, with plenty to keep you busy at Sydney Olympic Park.Free public transport is included when you purchase your ticket to the Sydney NRMA 500.
