Having completed his driving stints, Tekno Autosports team owner Jonathon Webb is now sitting back nervously to see whether Shane van Gisbergen can bring the VIP Pet Foods HoLden Commodore VF home on top of the podium.

"I think we are right up with the rest of them at the front," he told v8supercars.com.au. "It's pretty much a speed-run to the finish depending on safety cars.

"Shane is doing a great job and the team is doing a great job and I think if we can bring the next two runs to the end here, he is in a fair position to give it a good go.

"I'll just sit here in the back corner and try and relax. From my end there is nothing I can do, I have done my best.

"Hopefully we can come home with a trophy."

Webb was happier at the end of his stints than earlier on when he felt he had struggled.

"In my second run I caught myself out with cold tyres and track going off, and I just lost a while heap of confidence and I wasn't sure where I was for a while.

"But I held station well and the car is flowing well."
