Special diecast models of the 2014 Supercheap Auto VF Commodore, featuring the commemorative '10 Years on the Mountain' livery, will be available at next week's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The 1:18 scale models, which feature the special livery that celebrates the retail brand's decade of title sponsorship at the iconic Australian event, will be the first-ever current-spec models offered for sale at the same event.

However, sales at the Mountain are expected to reach fever pitch with just 150 scale Supercheap Auto VF Commodores available.

Brand Manager for Supercheap Auto David Bauer said he was excited that fans expected at next month's Great Race could now share in the brand's '10 Year on the Mountain' celebrations with their own piece of history.

"The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is well-known as Australia's Great Race for a reason, and we couldn't be more proud of our decade-long title sponsorship of the event," Bauer said.

"Our '10 Years on the Mountain' celebrations are already well-underway. So far we have launched our Big Break competition, where fans submitted their own ad to win $20,000 and $150,000 worth of airtime during the telecast. Fans voted on that to win a Walkinshaw-enhanced Holden Commodore SS.

"We debuted a commemorative Bathurst livery on our Supercheap Auto Racing VF Commodore at Sandown, the traditional curtain raiser to the big event.

"We launched an incredible hot lap competition, where fans could win a prize never before offered to the public - a hot lap with driver Tim Slade, during the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 weekend.

"And now fans can own a 1:18 diecast replica of our commemorative-liveried Supercheap Auto VF Commodore. It just couldn't get any better."

Supercheap Auto Racing driver Tim Slade and co-driver Tony D'Alberto were both keen to get their hands on the scale Commodore.

"It's great that fans can take home their own mini Supercheap Auto Commodore - though I hope they leave one for me," said Slade.

"The commemorative livery looks ace, and really stands out on track - so it'll be a great addition to anyone's mantelpiece - including mine," added D'Alberto.

The commemorative liveried Supercheap Auto VF Commodores, made by Biante Model Cars, are expected to go on-sale for $155 at the Supercheap Auto SuperStore at the track.

Tickets are available for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 now.
