STEWARDS SUMMARY

FINAL UPDATE: 1830hrs 14th April 2013

Matters arising from Race 9:

After an investigation and an admission by Car #34 Alex Premat of careless driving, failingto give room at Turn 8 to Car #19 Jonathon Webb, the Stewards imposed the penalty of theloss of 15 Championship points.

After the race the IO investigated the incident between Car #19 Jonathon Webb and Car#88 Dean Fiore at Turn 10. No breach of the rules was established.

Further matters arising from Race 8:

After the race the IO investigated the incidents between the following:Car #97 Shane van Gisbergen and Car #22 James Courtney at Turn 8 – no breachof the rules established;Car #14 Fabian Coulthard and Car #22 James Courtney at Turn 4 – no breach of therules established;Car #33 Scott McLaughlin and Car #5 Mark Winterbottom at Turn 6 – no breach ofthe rules established; andCar #360 James Moffatt and Car #88 Dean Fiore at Turn 8 – no breach of the rulesestablished.

After an investigation and an admission by Car #17 Tim Blanchard of careless driving,causing contact with Car #3 Tony D’Alberto at Turn 9, the Stewards imposed the penalty ofthe loss of 15 Championship points. 

UPDATE 6: 1530hrs 14th April 2013

Matters arising from Race 8:

After an investigation and an admission by Car #1 Jamie Whincup of careless driving,causing contact with Car #5 Mark Winterbottom at Turn 8, the Stewards imposed thepenalty of the loss of 15 Championship points.

There are still matters from Race 8 still under investigation.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 9:

Following an investigation and an admission by Car #66 Russell Ingall that he crossed theblend line at pit exit, the Stewards imposed a fine of $1000.

Matters arising from Qualifying for Race 8:

There were no issues. 

UPDATE 4: 0930hrs 14th April 2013

Matters arising from Race 7:

The Stewards imposed a penalty of 10 seconds to be added to the race time for Car #14Fabian Coulthard for a false start.

Following an investigation into an allegation that Car #1 Jamie Whincup failed to maintain aminimum of 5 car lengths at the restart after Safety Car intervention two, no breach of ruleswas established.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #22 JamesCourtney and Car #8 Jason Bright at Turn 1 on Lap 18, no breach of rules was established.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #19 JonathonWebb and Car #360 James Moffatt at Turn 8 on Lap 28, no breach of rules wasestablished.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #21 David Walland Car #360 James Moffatt at Turn 8 on Lap 22, no breach of rules was established.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #3 Tony D’Albertoand Car #8 Jason Bright at Turn 11 on Lap 35, no breach of rules was established.

Following an investigation into an allegation that Car #5 Mark Winterbottom overtook Car #6Will Davison under yellow flags, no breach of rules was established.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #21 David Walland Car #360 James Moffatt at Turn 8 on Lap 22, no breach of rules was established.

Following an investigation and an admission by Walkinshaw Racing that they had failed tocomply with Rule B3.2 (must carry a fully operational digital video camera and recordingdevice) in Races 6 & 7 in Car #66, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 62Teams Championship points (being the points gained in Races 6 & 7 by Car #66) and a$10,000 fine, $7500 of which is suspended until 31/12/2013.

Following an investigation and an admission by Triple Eight Race Engineering that they hadfailed to comply with Rule B3.2 (must carry a fully operational digital video camera andrecording device) in Race 7 in Car #1, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 75Teams Championship points (being the points gained in Race 7 by Car #1) and a $10,000fine, $7500 of which is suspended until 31/12/2013. 

UPDATE 3: 1545hrs 13 April, 2013

The Stewards imposed a penalty of 10 seconds to be added to the race time for Car #34Alex Premat for a false start.

The Stewards imposed a PLP on Car #1 Jamie Whincup for exceeding the pit lane speedlimit.

Investigations into an alleged careless driving breach involving Car #18 Alex Davison andCar #19 Jonathon Webb at Turn 6 Lap 1 resulted in no breach of rules being established.

Investigations into an allegation that the clutch was engaged causing the rear wheels torotate on Car #5 Mark Winterbottom resulted in no breach of the rules being established.

The Stewards imposed a fine of $750 on Car #34 Alex Premat for exceeding the pit lanespeed limit at pit entry.

UPDATE 2: 1245hrs 13th April 2013

The Stewards gave permission for Car #47 Tim Slade to start Races 6 & 7 from rear of griddespite him failing to qualify.

Matters arising from the Top Ten:

After an investigation and an admission by Car #14 Fabian Coulthard that he failed to usethe Track at all times during the Shootout, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss ofhis Shootout time.

Matters arising from Qualifying (Race 7):

Following an investigation and admission by Triple F Racing that they had refuelled Car #12not within their pit garage or the paddock, the Stewards imposed the penalty of exclusionfrom Qualifying for Race 7 and imposed a fine of $5000 totally suspended until 31/12/2013.

Following an investigation and admission by Dick Johnson Racing that they had refuelledCar #17 not within their pit garage or the paddock, the Stewards imposed the penalty ofexclusion from Qualifying for Race 7 and imposed a fine of $5000 totally suspended until31/12/2013.

Matters arising from Qualifying (Race 6):

There were no issues.

The Stewards gave permission for Car #47 Tim Slade to start Races 6 & 7 from rear of griddespite him failing to qualify.

For exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry the Stewards imposed a fine of $350 onCar #66 Russell Ingall.

Following an investigation into an incident involving contact between Car #88 Dean Fioreand Car #7 Todd Kelly. No breach of the rules was established.

Matters arising from Practice 2:

For exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry the Stewards imposed the following fines:

Car #19 Jonathon Webb - $750

Car #19 Jonathon Webb - $1000

Following an investigation and admission by Car #2 Garth Tander that he had crossed thecontrol line twice after the chequered flag, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 2grid positions for Race 6.

Following an investigation and admission by Car #66 Russell Ingall that he had crossed thecontrol line twice after the chequered flag, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 2grid positions for Race 6.

Matters arising from Practice 1:

The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 on Car #34 Alex Premat for exceeding the pit lanespeed limit.
