Shane van Gisbergen’s Race 13 win at the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown marked a key milestone for the Holden Commodore ZB.
The series leader’s dominant victory was the 50th for the model, which made its championship debut in 2018
Van Gisbergen won the ZB’s first race on its very first attempt on the Adelaide streets.
The Red Bull Ampol Racing driver went back-to-back on Sunday afternoon, helping the ZB draw level with the Ford Falcon BA model.

The Race 14 win helped van Gisbergen draw level with a Holden legend in Peter Brock on 48 career wins.
The 2021 season has been bright for the Red Lion, with Holden drivers winning 11 of 14 races.
Runaway series leader van Gisbergen has done the lion’s share with eight wins, ahead of Chaz Mostert (two) and Jamie Whincup (one).
The ZB made its championship debut in 2018, with van Gisbergen winning on its debut on the streets of Adelaide in 2018.
Van Gisbergen has won 24 of the model's 51 races since it hit the track three years ago.
The ZB can finish the 2021 season as high as third on the all-time list.
It needs 14 more wins to overtake the Commodore VT (63 wins), Falcon FG (55) and Falcon BA.
The ZB and Mustang GT, which made its debut in 2019, is currently on 40 wins.
