Dunlop Series frontrunner Chris Pither is set to tackle Mount Panorama with Team ADVAM/GB this season paired with Dale Wood.

Pither, currently running fourth in the Dunlop Series with BJR's Ice Break Racing, will take his spot in the #21 Team ADVAM/GB VF Commodore for the three eventPirtek Enduro Cup, a car he shared with David Wall last year.

"I'm looking forward to getting back into the number 21," he said.

"For sure the familiarity is advantageous and the miles I've been doing recently has definitely put me in a better position than I was last year for sure, so I'm really looking forward to racing and hopefully we'll be in for a good result."

Pither has been in career-best form in recent months and believes this will help him step up from the Dunlop Series to tackle the long distance races.

"I really feel like I'm driving well at the moment, the first race win and round win (in Townsville) was awesome. It's a combination of seat time, improving the car and I'm probably driving it better than I ever have as well."

Team ADVAM/GB co-owner Brad Jones is pleased to welcome Pither back to the third Brad Jones Racing car for the Pirtek Enduro Cup.

"I think having Chris back in the team for the third year is great news for us," he said.

"He's certainly growing as a driver and his results in the Dunlop Series recently show that we've definitely got the right bloke."

Team ADVAM/GB's Dale Wood is set to compete in his first Pirtek Enduro Cup as a lead driver (after co-driving with Chaz Mostert at Dick Johnson Racing last season) and is excited about the potential for the pair.

"Chris is doing an awesome job in the Dunlop Series at the moment and that's a great confidence booster leading up to the enduros. Hopefully he can carry that confidence through to us and we'll have a great result. He's a good bloke too, really easy to get along with and that's important!"

Managing Director of GB Galvanizing Gian Gucciardo is delighted with the pairing.

"Chris is driving very well in this year's Dunlop Development Series and I think Dale and Chris make a formidable team that is capable of achieving great results," he said.

The Wilson Security Sandown 500 kicks off the enduros, running from September 12-14.

Just one driver pairing is still to be announced, with Russell Ingall's co-driver TBC, while Valvoline GRM is still to confirm which cars co-drivers Alex Premat and Greg Ritter will steer.
