Moffat docked points for Reynolds incident

Norton Hornet James Moffat has been docked 35 Championship points after contact with David Reynolds in yesterday's first race.

The incident was the beginning of the huge accident that ultimately saw Tim Slade's Supercheap Auto Commodore so damaged it was retired from the meeting.

The official Stewards Summary gives the reason that "the driver failed to respect the preceding car".

Holden Racing Team's Garth Tander has also been penalised 25 points for an incident with Todd Kelly in the day's second race, which ultimately led to Tander being unable to finish.

Russell Ingall lost 25 points after contact with Tander's Walkinshaw Racing stablemate Nick Percat.

TheHHA Commodore driver was handed the equivalent of a pit lane drive through penalty (30 seconds), with Percat having overtaken Michael Caruso under yellow flag conditions. He remains in 19th position after the penalty.

Fines have also been issued toValvoline Racing GRM after a wheel came loose on Scott McLaughlin's Volvo in the second race, and to Wilson Security's Scott Pye and David Wall for arriving late to a drivers' briefing.
