The number one sports model competition in Australia officially launches under a new format today, to find the next Miss Supercars Australia.

This year, the competition will run under a new online format where entrants can upload a profile that fans will vote on ahead of the crowning of the 2017 Miss Supercars at the Gold Coast 600.

There will be a mentoring program provided to the finalists, which include career and media training, lifestyle programs and mentoring from previous winners.

Evolving from the world-renowned Miss Indy, Miss Supercars is an original and long-running sports model search, which has proven to be a successful platform for advancing model careers and personal development opportunities.

Girls who are interested in entering can now go to the www.misssupercars.com.au website to enter their details and upload a photo of themselves. Voting can begin within 48hrs of entry. The profiles will then be available for social media sharing where fans can vote for their favourites.

The girls with the top votes will travel to the Gold Coast where a winner will be crowned at a special event on Saturday 21st October where there will be a prize pool of $20,000 shared amongst the winners.

2015 Miss Supercars Australia winner, Katie Stevens, will be one of the mentors of this year’s program and says it’s been a great launching pad for her personal career.

“The new format of Miss Supercars is designed to open the competition to a larger network of competitors from across Australia,” she said.

“This year we are introducing a mentoring program for finalists. They will receive professional advice in business, fitness and lifestyle from previous winners and industry experts.

“In October, the top contestants who have received the most online votes will attend the Gold Coast 600 where the 2017 Miss Supercars will be crowned.

“The 2017 winner will have media appearances, television interviews and corporate responsibilities, as well as winning a share in a $20,000 prize pool including a V8 Action Illustrated feature magazine shoot, new Supercars mentor program, red-carpet Supercars gala and various Supercar round experiences.

“The whole week on the Gold Coast is a lot of fun for all the girls. From appearing at corporate events to being on the street circuit alongside the Supercars it’s a great achievement and something you gain valuable experience from being a part of.”
