V8 Supercars will join forces with the Royal Australian Navy this weekend to put on a spectacular show on ground and in the sky at the Sydney Motorsport Park 400.

While the V8 Supercars will take to the track for two 100km races on Saturday and a 200km challenge on Sunday, Navy helicopters will put on a spectacular air-show in the skies above Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Navy, including Squadrons 723, will provide aerial displays across the weekend with multiple machines, including two famous 'dancing' Squirrel helicopters to thrill the crowd.

V8 Supercars Event Manager Rachael White said the Navy displays across the race weekend will be a tremendous add-on experience for race-goers.

"It's wonderful to have such amazing support from the Navy and allow them to show what is truly so great about these men and women and their amazing machines," White said.

"It will really make the event a show of track and sky, filling the weekend with the best motorsport on the ground and these incredible pilots showing their wars in the air.

"With the calibre of racing and other feature entertainment it will be a fantastic weekend."

Between the aerial performances, fans can visit the Squirell and Bell 429 display at the circuit.

Usually deployed for maritime logistics support and search and rescue operations, the MRH 90 helicopters will wow fans with their ability to fly at speeds of up to 320 kilometres an hour, while carrying 20 passengers and a maximum weight of 11,000 kilograms.

With the helicopters on display at the circuit and taking flight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday right before racing starts, the spectacle will have fans warmed up for the headlining V8 Supercars.

If the kids need a break from the high-octane entertainment, take them to enjoy all that is on offer at the Disney Fun Zone. Mack the Transporter and Lightning McQueen will both be there, while they can chill out in the B-double trailer and catch the new Disney flick, Planes.

Once they've watched that, they can bounce around in the inflatable Planes-themed zone, race down the inflatable Lighting McQueen two-track slide, or test their peddle-power on the World Grand Prix Training Track.

With tickets starting from $27 and kids 14 and under free, the spectacle of the RAAF and the V8 Supercars returning race at Sydney Motorsport Park is an event not to be missed.Book your ticket's now.
