Race Seven of the Championship about to begin this afternoon as part of the ITM 400 Auckland. Fabian Coulthard starts from pole position, alongside Craig Lowndes, with earlier winner Scott McLaughlin starting ninth.

It's slightly cloudy, but forecast fine for the rest of the day.

Cars are on the grid, ready for a 3.55pm local New Zealand time start.

L1 Looks like a jumped start from Coulthard and issues for Lee Holdsworth with his clutch.

L2 It's confirmed Coulthard will cop a 10 sec penalty for jumped start.

L3 Whincup passed Lowndes, effectively leading the race.

L6 and effective top five are Whincup, Lowndes, Davison, Winterbottom and Tander.

L8 Reports of 8, Jason Bright, losing fluid.

L12 Race Control - No visible signs of fluide leak from 8, so no action will be taken.

L13 Bright and Reynolds fighting for p7, while Whincup gets closer to Coulthard's car.

L14 Tim Slade stopped at the turn three - Safety Car deployed.

Trouble for Coulthard with the field bunching up - he needs to make up time to offset that 10sec penalty.

L18 Restart.

L19 Three off, Bright, Courtney and McLaughlin wide. Another Safety Car to retrieve Courtney's car - Courtney out of the car.
