The fourth and final race at the Austin 400 is set to start with the cars on the grid after a short 40-minute break. Jamie Whincup starts from pole.

The fourth and final race at the Austin 400 is set to start with the cars on the grid after a short 40-minute break. Jamie Whincup starts from ARMOR ALL Pole Position, with previous race winner Fabian Coulthard alongside.

Five incidents are still under investigation from the previous race, including Coulthard.

Clean at the front of the field, with Whincup leading after the first corner. Bright pressuring Tander for third.

L3 Coulthard looking close on Whincup – plenty going on up the front. Moffat turned around.

McLaughlin fastest with a 1min35.7325 in 11th.

L3 and top 10 is Whincup, Coulthard, Tander, Bright, Rick Kelly, Van Gisbergen, Winterbottom, Wall, Caruso, Webb.

Lowndes and Will Davison 12 and 13.

L5 Steering damage on Will Davison. Van Gisbergen up the inside of Tander for p3.

L5 Safety Car. McLaughlin buried off the circuit. Davison made contact with McLaughlin.The incident is under investigation.

Also under investigation Blanchard and Engel. Still under Safety Car.

Restart and Coulthard is right on the back of Whincup.

L10 Caruso around after the restart, may have been a touch by Courtney.

L10 Tander, Webb, Lowndes, Premat, Alex Davison Ingall, Todd Kelly, Slade, Blanchard and Engel in pits.

Lowndes jumped up after the pit stop.

L11 and Couthard is in, followed by Winterbottom and Wall.

Coulthard out in front of Tander, Lowndes and Winterbottom, putting him in 12th. Leader Whincup in and van Gisbergen. 

L13 and Whincup rejoins just in front of Coulthard.

Webb recorded a 1min34.7128 down in 15th on lap 12. 

L15 Rick Kelly in the pits. Only three left to pit – Bright, Reynolds, Moffat.

L15 van Gisbergen through on Tander for effective third.

Post race investigation Engel incorrect pit lane exit.

Attendance recorded at 68,000.

Will says "my bad" on the incident with McLaughlin. "He was the innocent bystander, I feel pretty bad... very disappointed, I don't like making errors like that, very costly... I just want to get to Darwin now to get this right."

Black flag and pit lane penalty Engel for being on the wrong side of the pit lane exit.

L19 and Bright, Reynolds, Moffat yet to stop. Effective leader Whincup from Coulthard, van Gisbergen, Tander, Lowndes.

L20 Bright in. Caruso also yet to stop.

Four good tyres for Bright – have only done a Qualifying run.

Bright out in front of Courtney in 12th with two to stop in front.

Whincup the first driver in the 33s – a 1min33.6160 on lap 19.

Moffat has pitted for two tyres – Reynolds the only one at the top to pit.

L22 Reynolds on the pits and emerges 15th. Whincup now inherits the lead.

L24 Caruso pitted. It's Whincup, Coulthard, Van Gisbergen, Tander, Lowndes, Winterbottom, Rick Kelly, Webb, Bright, Courtney. Bright with good tyres on. Webb runs wide and Bright up to eighth.

L26 Caruso has a big lock up and Reynolds comes through and rounds up him and Mostert for 13th.

Bright has just done the quickest first sector.

Lap record for Bright with a 1min33.5415.

And Whincup does it, his 70th race win, says "I'm back!" over the radio. Three out of four wins for Whincup.

Followed by Coulthard, van Gisbergen, Tander, Lowndes Winterbottom, Bright, Rick Kelly, Webb, Courtney. Again only one Ford and one Nissan in the top 10.
