Tomorrow's 500km race grid is determined from two races today at the Wilson Security Sandown 500. This 20-minute session locks in the co-driver's starting position ahead of the co-driver race.

The time can be recorded by either driver. 

17 mins to go – Cars are on-track – Lowndes, Slade, Tander and Courtney still in pit lane. Holdsworth has just gone in.

Just under 16 mins to go – plenty of changes to the top five. 

Whincup back to top ahead of Bright. 

All main series drivers in the car.

14 min to go with Whincup. Winterbottom, Will Davison, Premat top four.

Several cars in the pit lane with 12 and a half minutes to go. Mostert now in second from Whincup. 

11 mins to go – Whincup Mostert, Premat, Lowndes, Reynolds top five. Watch out for Bright 13, Coulthard 16.

Just over nine to go and Caruso has an off near turn nine – he holds on. Back in 28th.

Earlier, Lowndes went to second – Red Bull Racing Australia one and two currently with Whincup ahead. Holdsworth follows in third, the highest placed EMV8.

Will Davison to the top. McLaughlin on a flyer as well.

Just under six to go – Davison, Whincup, Mostert, Lowndes, Bright, McLaughlin, Holdsworth, Winterbottom, Reynolds. Coulthard top 10. 

Four mins to go. Reynolds now in second. 

HRT cars down the order – Tander in 14, Courtney 18th.

One tenth of a second in nine cars! Two minutes to go. Lowndes looking quick.

Just over one minute – Whincup to the top with fastest time recorded at this track in a V8 Supercar – 1min08.6203.

Winterbottom two new green rear tyres and is back out.

Tander and Courtney up to three and six. 

10 seconds to go! Whincup, Mostert at the front... 

Final 10 is Whincup, Mostert, McLaughlin, Tander, Lowndes, Will Davison, Reynolds, Courtney, Slade and Bright. 

Winterbottom and Coulthard 12 and 13, first Nissan Todd Kelly in 15th.
