Australian rock royalty is on its way to Hidden Valley with Jimmy Barnes confirmed as the headline act for one of two RACE & ROCK concerts at this year's SKYCITY Triple Crown V8 Supercars weekend.

"Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday) for this fabulous weekend of entertainment on and off the Hidden Valley track," Chief Minister Adam Giles said.

"I am excited to announce Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes is on his way to Darwin for the V8s again for RACE & ROCK 2015.

"We have seen Jimmy ignite the Hidden Valley stage before and I know that's something everyone will be looking forward to seeing again."

You Am I will join Jimmy Barnes for the RACE & ROCK concert on Saturday 20 June.

"You Am I have a string of credits including being the first Australian band to have released three successive albums debuting at #1 on the ARIA charts," Mr Giles said

The exciting line-up continues over a second great night on Sunday 21 June.

"Antipodean Rock Collective will bring an unforgettable party to Darwin featuring some of Aussie rock's most iconic players," Mr Giles said.

They will be supported by the crazy and captivating alternative Rock and Blues singer Dean Ray and his band. Dean has enjoyed immediate recording and touring success since being runner up of X-Factor Australia 2014.

"Last year the V8s attracted more than 44,000 local and interstate visitors over the three days of racing and we're keen to see the reputation of this world-class event grow," Mr Giles said.

"That's why we've invested more than $8 million in infrastructure upgrades at Hidden Valley as part of Budget 2015, cementing the Territory's reputation as a haven for motorsports."

The RACE & ROCK Concerts are held after racing concludes on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June.

A Three Day HOT PASS ticket goes on sale tomorrow, at $90, including free public transport to and from Hidden Valley Raceway, express entry, access to the V8 Supercars Paddock and two nights of RACE & ROCK Concerts.

Children 13 years and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
