GM Holden is proud to announce a multi-year extension to its partnership agreement with reigning V8 Supercars Champions Red Bull Racing Australia.

The partnership, originally signed in July 2009 by Triple Eight Race Engineering under the TeamVodafone banner, has been an incredibly successful one.

Since 2010, the team has taken three V8 Supercars Drivers' and four Teams' Championships, 67 Championship race wins, 55 ARMOR ALL Pole Positions and two victories in Australia's Great Race, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The partnership extension will see Red Bull Racing Australia continue its strong partnership with Holden on and off-track.

GM Holden Motorsport and Sponsorship Manager Simon McNamara hailed the iconic manufacturer's partnership with Red Bull Racing Australia.

"Holden is proud to extend its championship-winning partnership with Red Bull Racing Australia," McNamara said.

"Red Bull Racing Australia is the sport's benchmark team, and together we have already achieved great success on and off-track. They played a pivotal role in the development of the new-generation VF Commodore last year; while a number of business-to-business (B2B) deals have seen our partnership grow."

Red Bull Racing Australia Team Principal Roland Dane is pleased that Holden will continue to power his championship-winning squad.

"It's a natural step for us to continue our incredibly successful partnership with Holden," Dane said.

"Holden's continued commitment, in what is a changing marketplace, not only demonstrates their faith in V8 Supercars, but also highlights the importance of motorsport as a fantastic sales and marketing tool."

The announcement was made at Suttons City Holden in Rosebery, an inner-city suburb of Sydney.The dealership was a fitting venue for the announcement of a new fleet deal between Holden and Red Bull Australia - confirmed by Suttons City Holden's Craig Sutton and Red Bull Australia managing director Jason Sargent.As a result, Red Bull Australia has ordered 12 new Holden VF Commodores and 14 new Captivas - with the first vehicle delivered today.

Red Bull Australia managing director Jason Sargent echoed comments from both parties on the power of the partnership.

"It can't be denied that the pairing of Triple Eight Race Engineering and Holden is a successful one and we're excited to be part of that team as it continues to grow in coming years," Sargent said.

"Red Bull is proud to extend our partnership with GM Holden in a new direction with the signing of the fleet deal."

V8 Supercars CEO James Warburton said Holden's commitment to V8 Supercars brought it continued success on and off the race-track.

"GM Holden is an iconic Australian brand with a long and successful history in motorsport and we are delighted that Holden has again committed its support to V8 Supercars," Warburton said.

"The continuation of its partnership with Red Bull Racing Australia not only brings it on-track success, but as seen today, delivers Holden important business-to-business opportunities, demonstrating the effectiveness of Australia's premier racing category as a potent sales and marketing tool."

The 2014 V8 Supercars Championship Series will head to Western Australia next week for the Perth 400, held at Barbagallo Raceway from May 16-18.
