Douglas locked in for Albert Park

Taz Douglas will continue in Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport’s #3 Holden at this weekend’s Coates Hire Supercars Challenge.

The Melbourne-based 33-year-old has been confirmed in the seat today ahead of opening practice and qualifying at Albert Park tomorrow.

Douglas was a last-minute addition to the grid for the Clipsal 500 earlier this month and, as reported on Tuesday, has offered to drive the car whenever required during the season.

Douglas has one previous Supercars start at Albert Park, which came with LDM in 2012, while 16-year-old team-mate Alex Rullo raced at the circuit in Australian GT last year.

The Supercars will hit the track at 12:50pm tomorrow for a 30 minute practice session ahead of qualifying at 5:00pm.
