Tinie Tempah leads the line-up of music acts for Darwin's ROCK & RACE concerts at the V8 Supercars SKYCITY Triple Crown.

Announced by Chief Minister Adam Giles earlier this week, the concerts will be a sensational addition to the high level of motor racing, with loved local acts The Angels and the Baby Animals performing on Saturday night.

"Then get excited for Sunday night when we welcome, all the way from London, chart topping superstar Tinie Tempah and the Brisbane-based Violent Soho, who are currently enjoying a massive growth of popularity, mainly through their dynamic live performances," Giles said.

Tinie Tempahhas won two Brit Awards, recorded two UK number one singles, and featured on Calvin Harris' 'Drinking from the Bottle' as well as Labrinth's 'Earthquake', which peaked on the Australian Charts at number four in 2011.

"I am thrilled Darwin will be hosting the V8 Supercars again from June 20-22 as part of an exciting program of sporting events this dry season," the Minster said.

A self-confessed rev-head, Giles called the SKYCITY Triple Crown one of his favourite events of the year.

"More than 40,000 local and interstate racing fans are expected to attend the three days of racing at Hidden Valley," Giles said.

"The Territory is proud to be home to a round of the V8 Supercar Championship until 2018 and has begun talks about extending that contract.

"This is another great way of marketing Northern Australia to the rest of the country as a lifestyle destination and place for top class sporting events.

"An economic impact analysis conducted in the 2012 showed the race injected $16 million into the Territory economy, making it an important event for the local tourism industry."

Tickets are available for the SKYCITY Triple Crown now - which is the next round of the V8 Supercars Championship.

Ford's Mark Winterbottom leads the Championship from Holden's Craig Lowndes as the category heads to the Top End next month.
