Clipsal 500 launches new entertainment program

More of Australia's musical talent will take to the stage alongside Cold Chisel at the season opener, with more of the 2015 concert line-up announced.

A host of Australia's most prestigious music talent will join legendary Australian rock band, Cold Chisel on stage at next year's Clipsal 500 Adelaide, with race organisers today announcing an exciting new entertainment program for the 2015 V8 Supercars season opener.

The off-track action will be just as hot as the action on-track with a collection of award-winning music acts set to entertain fans across the event.

Presented by Nova 91.9, Friday night's concert will play host to some of Australia's hottest DJ's featuring Stafford Brothers, Havana Brown, Timmy Trumpet and Ruby Rose.

The Stafford Brothers are the hottest number one DJ's in Australia. Brothers Matt & Chris Stafford made their way to the West Coast and are now residing in the Hollywood Hills of LA.

Havana Brown is a modern-day renaissance woman. The phenomenally successful DJ has steadily taken over the charts as well as the dance floors. Her hit singles 'Warrior" and "We Run The Night" went on to sell multi million copies around the world.

Timmy Trumpet is officially one of Australia's busiest DJ. Timmy's hit single "Freaks" is currently one of the most played singles in the country.

Ruby Rose performs at the hottest clubs, parties and festivals around the world and as a VJ for MTV Australia, Ruby was awarded an ASTRA award for 'favorite female'.

Saturday night will have a distinct South Australian Bands on track flavour with iconic Led Zepplin concept band THE ZEP BOYS and celebrated rocker John 'Swanee' Swan. Opening the show will be South Australian acts provided by Music SA

Sunday night After Race concert, presented by Mix 102.3FM, Legendary Australian rock band, Cold Chisel, will return to where it all began to headline the Sunday night concert at the iconic Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 1, 2015. Marking 40 years since they coalesced into their definitive line-up and tore a rock and roll hole through the heart of Adelaide, the band has decided to celebrate this milestone with a special one-off show for the fans and the city that shaped them.

Joining Cold Chisel on stage will be legendary rock outfit will be fellow ARIA award winning rockers Spiderbait and SA band 100 Proof.

After hugely successful performances at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in 2012, 2013 and 2014, Bands On Track presented by Music SA will return to showcase some of South Australia's most exciting new and emerging bands on the Clipsal 500 bill on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said as well as delivering great motor racing action, the Clipsal 500 had built a reputation for providing one of the best music events in the country.

"In August the Premier and I were delighted to announce iconic Australian rock band Cold Chisel will return home to headline the post-race concert on Sunday March 1," he said.

"The full program of entertainment has now been completed, with a great mix of local and national talent as well as award-winning performers certain to keep the Clipsal 500 fans entertained throughout the event."

Clipsal 500 CEO Mark Warren said:"Cold Chisel is one of Australia's most popular ever bands and exciting live performers. This could well be one of the last opportunities for fans to see them perform at an outdoor concert of this scale anywhere in the country."
