Mobil 1 HSV Racing has unveiled the new livery that James Courtney will carry for the remainder of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship season.

Courtney and Jack Perkins will introduce updated Boost Mobile colours in this weekend’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, which will remain on the #22 Commodore for the rest of the year.

Boost Mobile took over primary sponsorship of Courtney’s Commodore from the Phillip Island round in April, with this its first bespoke livery.

“It’s certainly a great looking car, one that really pops and shines, especially in the sunlight,” Walkinshaw Racing general manager Mathew Nilsson said.

“Having a new livery for the biggest race of the year is always special, but it’s also great to be able to have it on the car for the remaining events in 2017.

“The business is happy to bring this concept to life for the team at Boost Mobile for Bathurst, especially after the success the team had with our Retro Round liveries at Sandown.”

Inside the car, Perkins will be using a special tribute helmet to mark 20 years since his father Larry’s last Bathurst victory in 1997.

The sister Commodore of Scott Pye and Warren Luff will contest Bathurst and the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 with the popular, Peter Brock-inspired livery from last month’s Wilson Security Sandown 500.
